Spring 2010 Recreational Game Schedules

Register NOW so you will get immediate notifications of field and game status for all Columbia United FC and Columbia United YMCA fields!  You can select whether you are sent email notifications or text messages directly to your cell phone.

We are in the process of finalizing all player assignment to teams for this season.  You can check your player’s team assignments online.  Below are the steps to do so:

1.  Go online to the Recreational Registration System:  RECREATIONAL - Register Player or Manage Account

2.  Click "Continue" to the next screen.

3.  Select the last option "I am currently registered and would like to check my team assignment or update my personal info."

4.  To login, you can enter your email address that you provided during registration.  Your password was emailed to on your confirmation letter.  If you do not have the password, then you can have it emailed to you by clicking on the option "If you think you have a password but can’t remember it click here."

5.  Scroll down the screen and you will see Registrations section.  The team assignment is listed under the "Team" column.  If you click on the Team name it will show the coach’s name and contact information, if the coach has been assigned.

Do not panic if you see "unassigned" or no coach assigned yet!  We are still in the process of assigning and updating.  If after March 1, you still don’t see a team assignment, please contact your Community Coordinator:

U9 Hammerheads	U12 Hammerheads

The Columbia United YMCA Hammerheads from Lexington recently visited the Savannah Recreational Cup and both the U9 and U12 teams came home as champions!

Congratulations to the following teams who won trophies the Kohl's US Youth Soccer American Cup that was held on April 19, 2009.  We are so proud of you!

• U9 Boys Recreation - Columbia United Sociedad (finalist)
• U10 Boys Blue Recreation - Columbia United Red Lightening (finalist)
• U10 Girls Recreation - Columbia United Dolphins (champions) and Columbia United Flamingos (finalist)

Congrats to Janko Mandakovic and Kevin Kohel’s Polo Road U8 Internationals Recreational team who traveled to Myrtle Beach to compete in the Myrtle Beach tournament on February 28-March 1, 2009. Even though a monsoon blew through the state that turned into snow (everywhere BUT Columbia), they were able to get in one day of play until lightning cancelled the Sunday games and tournament. The U8 Internationals were declared the runners-up. Congratulations boys!

The Columbia United YMCA two Hammerhead teams from Lexington represented the club very well at the 2008 Savannah Recreational Cup. 

The U8 Hammerheads won their first 3 games over the 2 days of play leaving them to face the only other undefeated team in the final game. The Hammerheads came out on the wrong side of the 5-4 scoreline but performed well for their first attempt at tournament play.  Great job on ending up as U8 Finalists!
